And the Judges Award goes to…Summer Hutcheson for her Chili Caliente Verde. The judges unanimously agreed Summer’s Chili Caliente Verde had great texture and full flavor worthy of its name. The People’s Choice Award went to first time participant Craig Kaufman with his entry of Grandma’s House Recipe. Most were able to pick out the main ingredient in Jody Mello’s Pop It Like It’s Hot Chili, cayenne pepper, no surprise there! Sandy Lett brought drinks, and other dishes included Jen Miller-McEachern’s brownies, Surekha Vuppala and Tinna Gallagher brought chips to dip in the chili. And for the second year in a row Stephanie Kloos brought her famous corn bread, and back by popular demand Ryan Steele’s fantastic pigs in a blanket. For all those that participated in one way or another thank you. And to everyone that didn’t have time to make chili this year, start perfecting your chili recipes for next year!
